Meet the Founder
Elizabeth Gatter
FounderElizabeth Gatter founded Church Music Staffing Solutions from the inside of the field she serves. Over the course of her career, she has worked as a pianist, staff singer, organist, handbell director, and Director of Music across six different denominations — she has personally done nearly every job a church search committee is trying to fill, in nearly every tradition they represent. She has served everywhere from small-town Baptist churches to the Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast as Cathedral Musician, and has seen firsthand the value of every kind of church and music ministry.
That firsthand experience is what shapes how Church Music Staffing Solutions serves churches today: with an insider's understanding of what search committees actually need, the challenges they face, and what kind of musician will actually be the right fit.
Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from the University of South Alabama and a Master of Music in Voice Pedagogy from Shenandoah Conservatory, and is currently completing a Doctor of Musical Arts in Voice and Worship Leadership at the University of Mobile. She has also earned pedagogical certifications through the University of North Texas, Shenandoah Conservatory's CCM Institute, and Somatic Voicework™.
As an academic, Elizabeth has presented on church music and voice pedagogy at the National ACDA Conference in Dallas (2025), the Alabama and Louisiana chapters of ACDA, , The Voice Foundation, and the University of Mobile, and serves on the leadership team of the Augusta Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
